Gardening experience

Don provided garden coordinator services for the Main Street Garden in Broomfield during the original build. Don also provided this service for the Crescent Grange Garden in Broomfield. In recent years, Don has turned over those duties to other volunteers as he redirected his focus onto the honeybees.

Don now provides honeybee management for community gardens and homes along the front range. Don is an active member of Denver Bee and Boulder County Beekeepers Association.

Why am I participating

Beekeeping is one example of a "technology" capable of contributing to the "sufficiency" of a "community" to provide for itself. None of us need do everything, but each of us can do something to contribute to the sufficiency we seek for our community. My participation provides pollination services as well as honey for our community. Further, I am able to teach chemical-free beekeeping in an effort to expand our honeybee population. These are my contributions toward creating a world enjoyable by the seventh generation.
